I spend most of my day online, and I go all over the place. But there are always some places that I go to more than others... A List Apart — The online mag "For people who make websites." Google — I don't know why I bother to list this one. Internet Movie Database (IMDb) — Everything you ever needed to know about every movie ever made. iStockphoto — Stock photography for mere mortals (and web designers). This is not the only micro-stock photography site out there, but if I need an image this is where I start. Lorem Ipsum — If you need some gobbledy-gook, for your page's look. Who ya gonna call? Red vs. Blue — I don't know if there are any other machinima series listed in the IMDb, but this one is and it is worth it. Risks Digest — Trying to explain why computers can hurt you, since 1985. Slashdot.org — Still the place all nerds go to make endless chatter about stuff that matters, to them. UserFriendly — Every profession needs a comic strip. Detectives get Dick Tracy. IT workers get UserFriendly. W3 Schools — My favourite general reference for web publishing technologies. For any given technology, there might be a better reference, but here they are all in one place. Worth 1000 — People doing amazing things with graphics software. Yahoo! Most Popular News Stories — The world according to people who read Yahoo! News. |
